Jeffrey S. Harris, MAI, R/W-AC has over 21 years of experience in the real estate valuation industry, earning the prestigious MAI designation through the Appraisal Institute. Additionally, he has earned the R/W-AC professional certification from IRWA. Jeffrey is a state certified general appraiser in Virginia, District of Columbia, and North Carolina.  He has experience assisting clients in a wide variety of property types.

Jeffrey obtained his Bachelor of Science in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate in 2004.  He obtained a Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate degree from Georgetown University in May, 2017.  During his studies at Georgetown, he was named a Hoya Professional 30 in 2016.  

Jeffrey has been an active member of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, where he has also represented the chapter at the Leadership and Development Advisory Council (LDAC) for the Appraisal Institute held annually on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C in 2015, 2016, and 2017 and as a discussion leader in 2018.  This is a grass roots leadership “think-tank” and lobbying event on behalf of the nearly 23,000 members of the Appraisal Institute.  Furthermore, he serves as an advisor to appraisers seeking the MAI designation.  He serves as the 2021 Chapter President of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.  He is an active member of the Hampton Roads Commercial Real Estate Association serving as Chair of the Intern Committee, which assists college students in obtaining internships in commercial real estate in Hampton Roads.  

Jeffrey has also served as an instructor for the Appraisal Institute and the Mortgage Bankers Association.
